SYVF, like most success stories, started as a great idea put into action by two creative artists with a conviction and passion for utilizing the arts as a tool for self-empowerment. As we continue to grow and educate more youth, SYVF provides scholarships to many of its participants, to ensure that all have access to the kind of opportunities we provide and do not discriminate based on socioeconomic status. We rely solely on sponsorship and volunteers to make our programs happen.
There is an old African proverb that says: “It takes a village to raise a child.” At SYVF, we believe that we are all part of that proverbial village and that what each of us contributes sincerely makes a positive impact. Every contribution, whether it be as a sponsor or a volunteer, makes our work possible.
