SYVF Video Projects
A very special component of the ETP workshop is filmmaking. Throughout the week the participants learn the basics of filmmaking and get to be involved in creating a Postive Service Announcement (PSA) from start to finish. Themes from previous years have included anti-smoking, tolerance, taking care of the environment, promoting peace, body image and self-acceptance, and dreams as a fuel for life. SYVF Song Projects
Every year, participants from the ETP workshop get the privilege of working with an esteemed professional guest musical artist to craft an original song which is performed at the final “Night At the Landing” event. Past guest artists have included Rob Quist, Jack Gladstone, Tim Torgerson, Jae Hatt, Jessica Kilroy, Wayo Hogan, and Nick Spear. In 2014, SYVF was delighted to welcome Luke Dowler, AJ Masters and Bob Regan. Later in the fall after the summer workshop festivities have ended, participants are given another opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a professional recording environment to work, once again, with the guest musical artist to get the song professionally recorded.
